
Before we dive into this Farrelly Brothers take on “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” let’s make sure everyone’s up-to-speed on the events that led us here…
Assuming you’ve seen the 1974 original you may remember a few of these images:

A girl screaming and sobbing for her life after being tied to a chair at a dinner table with this family:

Who howl and mock with great delight at her fear of becoming the main course, since this guy previously:

Cut-up her group of friends, who would still in-fact be alive if he had not bludgeoned them with hammers and carved their limbs off.
So, somehow she manages to escape from this group of crazies:

While being chased by this:

Which is where the original left off….and is where the beginning of the 2013-released “Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D” picks up…
We open with the Sheriff coming out to the Sawyer Farmhouse, and demands for the son who has been cuttin’ folk up with a chainsaw, to come out and surrender…
And of course, the father draws his shotgun and says there’s no way he’s going to surrender his son, etc. – to which the Sheriff again demands the boy to come out – to which the father once again refuses…
Zzzzz….
Then, after a couple more moments of pointless shouting between the Sheriff and Father Sawyer, another clan of hillbillies, the Hartman family, pull up in trucks and surround the house…and finally at this point the father agrees to send out his precious little son A.K.A. Leatherface…
But, the Hartman hillbilly clan douse the place with gasoline and set the house on fire and shoot the place up – even against the Sheriff’s orders! Woah, try to let the tension set in.
And now as we watch the Sawyer farmhouse burn, where Leatherface has cut-up innocent victim after innocent victim while the family either assists him, or turns a blind eye, we are now supposed to feel sympathy for them. LOL.
